Everywhere I go this month, I see advertisements for “Dad’s & Grad’s” to prepare everyone for Father’s day and Graduation’s, which is a great time to celebrate the men and graduates of our lives!
Happy Fathers Day to all the dad’s and Congratulations to all the Graduates!
The month of June is also a very special month because it is Men’s Health Month, and the week leading up to Fathers day is Men’s Health week. So in addition to buying the man in your life a Father’s day gift, why not take him to get a check up to make sure his health is at its best!
“Thousands of men lose their lives each year to preventable health problems like diabetes, heart disease, smoking related deaths. Men's Health Month highlights these and other preventable health problems and encourages early detection and treatment of disease among men, boys, and their families.”- From Yahoo News
There are actually many things you can do to get involved with Men’s Health Month, for instance, you can plan a “Wear Blue Day” encourage your coworkers, friends, and family to wear blue to create awareness for Men’s Health month, plan a health fair, donate or motivate others to donate month to prostate cancer research. To find out more about Men’s Health Month, events, activities and additional information I invite you to check out menshealthmonth.org
